RP/TUX 8.1 - [TMFFNAME] CORBA Interoperability issue with IBM JDK 5.0 (WebSphere 6.1) (Doc ID 778117.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 19, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo / Tuxedo / 8.1
Information in this document applies to any platform

Goal

DESCRIPTION:
TMFFNAME dumps core only when IBM JDK ORB uses INS to retrieve FactoryFinder, calls an object factory then an object,
then uses again INS to retrieve FactoryFinder in the same JVM instance

The application is trying to instantiate an application CORBA connection pool from within WebSphere to serve
application requests

The issue does not happen in TUXEDO 9.1.

End-customers have deployments on top on TUXEDO 8.1 and would like seamless interoperability with that version.

Also reproduced in using IBM JDK on Linux (without WebSphere).

CONFIGURATION:
WebSphere 6.1 on AIX on RedHat 4
TUXEDO 8.1 on Solaris 8 (32 bits) or AIX (32 bits)
