Can the Content ID be More than 6 Digits Long? (Doc ID 789399.1)

Goal

The Content Server auto generates a six digit numeric number for each unique Content ID on check in.  This makes it look like there is a  limit in the Content Server of 999,999 unique content items.  What would happen if you wanted to check another content item?
