Memory Consumption of Engine Increases to 2GB and Engine Crashes With Large Output Generating Reports (Doc ID 789973.1)

Symptoms

The memory consumption of Engine process increases very fast while generating a very big reports output with many pages. When the memory usage increases to 2GB, the engine process dies. Usually with REP-56048 error and the traces may contain :

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

Note: When checking the memory consumption of the engine process on MS Windows platforms, please use Process Explorer utility from following address (the default "Task Manager" of Windows platforms does not report the correct result for memory usage) :
