Certification Requirements
To obtain any new information since the original release date, specific to a new operating system version, click the link below for a separate html formatted document. If any are added or re-uploaded, see the Modification History at bottom of this page for brief description.
Certification Restrictions:
- If Installing 10.1.3.0.0:
Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.0.0) installations have been deprecated. It is recommended to install SOA Suite 10g 10.1.3.1 or WebCenter 10g 10.1.3.2, depending on your needs and certifications.
<Note 433061.1> How to Obtain Application Server Media, Patchsets, and Patches.
- Required Post-Install Patch:
When installing SOA Suite 10g 10.1.3.1, ensure the mandatory <Patch:5669155> is immediately applied before installing any other one-off patches. This is to prevent an error, "MISSING_COMPONENT : oracle.j2ee, 10.1.3.1.0" when applying patches with OPatch utility. Patch 5669155 is installed with an OUI installer and should be invoked with "./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs".
- Latest Patch Set:
These certifications require a minimum level Patch Set, (e.g., "10.1.3.3+"), which was tested at the time of certification. It is important to know that newer Patch Sets, (e.g., "10.1.3.5"), have superseded the previous, and you should apply the newest available. This is also important because older Patch Sets may have passed Error Correction Support, where it will be required to apply a newer Patch Set. See the following for the latest Patch Sets and more about the Error Correction Policy:
<Note 397022.1> Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Support Status and Alerts
<Note 944866.1> Error Correction Support Timelines for Oracle Fusion Middleware (10g/11g/WLS)- The following documents are for SOA Suite, WebCenter, and all other Application Server distributions such as the Application Server Companion CDs, (e.g., Oracle HTTP Server Standalone). Each will have similar requirements and included as one document. Note Application Server certifications do not include any distributions delivered with Database Server Companion CDs, (e.g., Oracle HTTP Server Standalone).
