SP2-0027 When Executing Script or Command from SQL*Plus (Doc ID 794648.1)

Symptoms

Script fails with the following error when executed from SQL*Plus:

SP2-0027: Input is too long (> 2499 characters) - line ignored


The script includes a SQL command that is over 2500 characters in length on one line.  In this case, script had a command that is 2675 characters long.

The problem occurs even if run the same command directly from the SQL prompt, outside the script.
