After Changing Hostname, Node Manager Got an SSL "Bad Certificate" Error (Doc ID 800224.1)

Symptoms

After changing the host name on a machine where WebLogic Server is installed, an SSL "bad_certificate" error occurs.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Change hostname.
  2. Restart computer.
  3. Start admin server.
  4. Start Node Manager.
  5. Start managed server on admin console.

Due to this issue, users cannot start the managed server from the admin console.
