"Bean already exists" Error When Creating WebLogic Server Datasource (Doc ID 803660.1)

Symptoms

On WebLogic Server, when attempting to connect to a datasource, the following error occurs.

The issue can be reproduced by following these steps:

  1. Use a WLST script to create the datasource, and use a debugger to step through the datasource-creating process.
  2. After the filename is created, before the datasource is created, stop until the WLST script times out.
  3. Thus, the datasource is not created, but the file is created.
  4. Try creating the datasource again, using the same name. It hits the ‘Bean already exists’ problem.
