NullPointerException using HTTP Basic Authentication Headers and Ports 80 or 443 (Doc ID 806023.1)

Symptoms

When trying to use HTTP Basic Authentication headers to invoke a secured Web Service:

<property name="httpBasicUsername">your_username</property>
<property name="httpBasicPassword">your_password</property>


You may encounter a NullPointerException error:

Note: This happens ONLY if you use ports 80 (default port for HTTP on SOA Windows installs) or 443 (default port for HTTPS).
