'Unexpected failure running TSQ process' when Running an Oracle Data Quality Process (Doc ID 817054.1)

NOTE: In the examples below, the names represent a fictitious sample for clarity. Any similarity to actual environments, past or present, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

After fresh install of ODQ Server components on an Unix or Linux or AIX machine, you are not able to run any process in ODQ client (Oracle Data Profiling and Oracle Data Quality User Interface). As soon as you click on the Transformer>Run this Process, the following error occurs:

The process Transformer has not completed successfully.

If you run it in Background:

If clicking on Parser Input>selecting few columns>Review or right clicking on Transformer>Edit this Porcess >Analyze the Input >Select a few attributes and add to the input then click on Ok and Execute, you see errors like:

Error executing process:
couldn't open
"/odi/bin/10.1.3/oracledq/metabase_data/tmp/session/<CACHE_UUID>/E21/e21_log .txt": no such file or directory

Right click on the Transformer step from your explorer view, and select >View Log
