This problem can occur on any platform.
Oracle Portal does not honor the single sign-on session duration. Most SSO enabled applications
redirect to the SSO server after expiration of the single sign-on session duration to challenge
the internet browser for authentication. Oracle Portal does not behave like these SSO enabled
applications. End users can continue with their Portal session even after expiration of the single
sign-on session duration.
Steps To Reproduce:
- Change the single sign-on session duration to one hour in the SSO administration pages
- Open both the oiddas application and Oracle Portal in a browser window
- Wait for one hour
- Notice that oiddas will redirect to the SSO server for authentication. The Portal is still accessible however
