Purpose

The instructions for Configuring the Target System, section 2.2 of the Connector Guide for Oracle Internet Directory, discuss the need to make the modifytimestamp attribute in OID searchable. The Guide mentions the need to use the catalog.sh command within OID, but does not give the exact steps. This article provides those steps.

Scope

In order for Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) to perform an incremental reconciliation against an OID target, the modifytimestamp attribute in OID needs to be searchable, i.e. indexed and contain data. The following provides the basic steps needed to index modifytimestamp in OID, thus making it searchable and permitting incremental reconciliations against this OID target.
