BPA Publisher suddenly becomes unresponsive and needs to be restarted in order to use it again.

When this happens checking the BPA Publisher logfiles here:

$OH\tomcat\config or $OH\tomcat\server\conf

Shows Java Out of Memory Errors, for example from stdout_xxxxxxxx.log:
