Unable to Connect to HTTP Server via SSL and F5 Load Balancer - NZ Error 28860

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 10.1.2.0.0 to 10.1.3.4.0 [Release AS10gR2 to AS10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
- Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) is configured for SSL
- When accessing OHS with SSL via an F5 Load Balancer, the browser returns a HTTP 404 "Page cannot be displayed" error.
- If the F5 load balancer is bypassed, and OHS is accessed directly, it works fine
- The $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/logs/error_log and ssl_engine_log show the following errors:
[error] SSL call to NZ function nzos_Handshake failed with error 28860 (server lbvirtualhost.domain:443, client x.x.x.x)
[error] SSL fatal alert
