OracleConnectionCacheManager.createCache Fails with ORA-01017 When InitialLimit is a Non-Zero Value (Doc ID 835293.1)

Applications (both standalone and J2EE) connect to version databases via JDBC/Thin

When the InitialLimit for the connection cache is set to a non-zero value, the cache is created with OracleConnectionCacheManager.createCache, and the database users have lower or mixed case passwords, connections fail with:

java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
