How to make the BEA Sybase JDBC driver to execute a statement during the connection (Doc ID 843240.1)

In some cases there is the need to execute a SQL statement  each time a database connection is established.
For example, set a correct Date and Time format or disable the Sybase strict SQL check by executing the
"set ANSINULL off" statement.
