Remote Portlet Using asp:FileUpload Losing the Gateway and Jumps Out of Webcenter Interaction Portal Scope

(Doc ID 843950.1)

Last updated on APRIL 17, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Interaction - Version 6.1.1 to
Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (32-bit)
.NET Framework 2.0 & Oracle WebCenter .NET Application Accelerator

Trying to upload a file within the WCI (previously ALUI portal) portlet using asp:FileUpload ID in a .NET application causes the portlet to jump out of the portal scope. So one cannot upload files from a form inside a portlet.

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Build a sample aspx page
2. Add to it an asp:FileUpload ID tag: <asp:FileUpload ID="FileUpload1" runat="server"/>
3. Click on the FileUpload button to replicate the issue.
