Cannot Start HTTP Server From Root User Using "sudo" Command (Doc ID 846889.1)

Symptoms

Linux x86 RedHat
Oracle Application Server OIF 10.1.4.2.0 based on OracleAS 10.1.2.0.2 (Core)

When starting the Oracle Application Server instance from the Root account using the "sudo" command, the HTTP Server fails to start and the following error is returned:

# sudo $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl startall
opmnctl: starting opmn and all managed processes...

opmn id=<host>:6200
2 of 3 processes started.

ias-instance id=instance_name.hostname.domain
