32-bit Active Directory Password Filter Does Not Work On 64-bit AD (Doc ID 847488.1)

Symptoms

  • Setup of AD Password Filter on 64bit Windows completes successfully, but the pwd filter is not
    started by lsass.exe at the next restart.
  • No PwdFilter logs are generated. Note: The log location was specified during install, and can be seen in the LogPath of the Registry entry:
        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\orclidmpwf\ADConfig
  • Registry keys are not encrypted.
