Purpose

Customers may come across various scenarios where they would like to use the updateUser() API method to update user’s attributes in Oracle Identity Manager. It has been seen that if updateUser() method is not invoked correctly then it may encounter Thor.API.Exceptions.tcStaleDataUpdateException especially while processing inputs returned from findUsers() or findUsersFiltered() method.

Scope

updateUser() API method is a widely used method which can be utilized in provisioning as well as in reconciliation. This note will provide details to how to correctly use or invoke updateUser() method especially while processing inputs returned from findUsers() or findUsersFiltered() method.
