OHS Reverse Proxy to SSL Enabled Sites Fails with Internal Server Error (Doc ID 850652.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.


When serving requests for Reverse Proxy to back-end systems(IIS WebServer) that are SSL enabled, you receive the 500 Internal Server Error. Changing the reverse proxy configuration to non-SSL for the back-end systems works. The OHS Web Server resides in the DMZ and serves SSL virtual hosts and reverse proxies to back-end systems.
