Errors 20004 "Failed to set the batch id" and 3219 "Operation is not allowed in this context" When Scanning / Opening Batches Within WebCenter Capture (Doc ID 854974.1)

Symptoms

After Windows Updates have been applied to the Windows 2003 server hosting Capture database on SQL Server 2005, the following errors are encountered within WebCenter Capture:

When attempting to scan a batch:

Error: 20004
There was an error while attempting to create the batch directory. There may be an existing batch
directory with the same name, or you may not have sufficient rights to create a directory in the
batches location.
[Failed to set the batch id.
Operation is not allowed in this context.]

When attempting to open a batch:

Error: 3219
The following error occurred while attempting to lock the batch.
[Operation is not allowed in this context.]
