Unable To Create File Cabinet, Application Locks (Doc ID 854991.1)

Symptoms

After successfully connecting to and initializing an Oracle database, the creation of a new file cabinet fails.  Symptom can include any or all of the following:

  1. After entering the name in the new file cabinet dialog box, the new file cabinet is not displayed.
  2. The application becomes unresponsive and has to be closed using task manager.
  3. If a new file cabinet is created with the same name as in step one, a message is displayed indicating the file cabinet already exists.
  4. There are no file cabinets displayed in the left pane after closing and opening the application.
