BPEL Process with Database Adapter For Sybase or Other Third Party Database Set to Off State and ORABPEL-11624 in Logs (Doc ID 859536.1)

Symptoms

Following an outage in the Sybase (or other third party) database, the database adapter is not able to recover the connection unless you restart your Application Server.

The following error is seen in the log files:
<SOA_HOME>/bpel/domains/<domainName>/logs/domain.log
and/or
<SOA_HOME>/opmn/logs/default_group~<container_name>~default_group~1.log:

<FATAL> <domain.collaxa.cube.activation><AdapterFramework::Inbound>
ORABPEL-11624
DBActivationSpec Polling Exception.
Query name: [SybaseLocationIdOutbound],
Descriptor name:[SybaseLocationIdOutbound.YourLocationIdOutbound].
Polling the database for events failed on this iteration.
[Caused by: dbo.YOUR_LOCATION_ID_OUTBOUND not found.
Specify owner.objectname or use sp_help to check whether the object exists
(sp_help may produce lots of output).]

If the cause is something like a database being down successful polling will
resume once conditions change.Caused by Exception [TOPLINK-4002]

Internal Exception: com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybSQLException:
