This problem occurs on an IIS/.Net installation of WebCenter Interaction portal.
Users may be unexpectedly directed to a login page while editing content or browsing portal pages. Under load, there may also be problems with general stability of the portal leading to problems accessing the site, pages not loading and timeout errors.
The problem is caused by making modifications to the default IIS worker process settings located in the web garden section of the application pool configuration manager. These values are set by the portal installer when it creates the application pool.
