Applies to:
Oracle Internet Directory - Version 10.1.2.0.1 to 11.1.1.6.0 [Release 10gR2 to 11g]Information in this document applies to any platform.
This problem can occur on any platform.
Symptoms
Examination of the DIP sync tracefile, IplanetImport.trc revleals that the search used to retrieve changelog entries from SUN server is including objectClass=changelolgentry:
ldapsearch -h myhost -p 389 -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w "xxxxxx" -b "cn=changelog" "(&(objectClass=changelogentry)(changeNumber>=27590000)(changeNumber<=27590500))"
The iPlanet Administrator claims that this causes the Sun Iplanet server to do a full table scan. "(objectClass=changelogentry)" should be removed such that the search filter would be:
ldapsearch -h myhost -p 389 -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w "xxxxxx" -b "cn=changelog" "(&(changeNumber>=27590000)(changeNumber<=27590500))"
The only type of entry in cn=changelog is an objectclass=changelogentry. Therefore, this parameter of the search filter is unnecessary.
