xlScheduler does not start: Unable to start scheduler

Symptoms
On 9.1.0.1 after the system has been running fine for some time, attempting to restart the application server, the following error occurs and the scheduler is not coming up:

D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home2\applications\Xellerate\xlScheduler\WEB-INF\lib\xlScheduler.jar
(from WEB-INF/lib/ directory in D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home2\applications\Xellerate\xlScheduler\WEB-INF\lib)
has the same filename but is not identical to /D:/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/j2ee/home2/applications/Xellerate/xlScheduler.jar
(from manifest of /D:/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/j2ee/home2/applications/Xellerate/xlDataObjectBeans.jar).
If it contains different versions of the same classes, it will be masked as the latter is already visible in the search path of loader Xellerate.web.xlScheduler:0.0.0.
