Error 500--Internal Server Error Accessing to a new fresh Portal 11g Installation (Doc ID 866385.1)

Symptoms

Finished the installation and configuration for Portal 11g.  Attempting to access the Portal home page http://<HOSTNAME>:8090/portal/pls/portal returns an error.

Port 8090 is the default port

Error message:

Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

No errors showed during the installation and configuration.

Changes

Installation performed on a 64-bit operating systems.
