DATE/TIME External Variable Type Conflict when Deploying a Project (Doc ID 870284.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Business Process Management Suite - Version: 6.0.5 and later   [Release: and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

I get the following error while deploying a project in 6.0.5

Error(s) found while creating external variables for the following engines: albpmengine: The
project variable (GDM_UP_GBP_Date) needs to be created as a column in the Execution Engine
Database. The associated variable (GDM_UP_GBP_Date) is already created and exists in the Execution
Engine DB with the name (V_GDM_UP_GBP_Date) but with a different type (DATE), required (Time). It looks like the variable type was changed in this latest version of the project. For this reason,
the variable cannot be created. You can either drop the column (V_GDM_UP_GBP_Date) in the
Execution Engine and run the publish action again or change the variable name in your project.

Updated from 6.0.4 to 6.0.5
