OID 11g DIP Provisioning For OLS Integration Fails With Log Error: Exception on connecting to DB. (Doc ID 871124.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.


Able to get the Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g  ( Directory Integration Platform (DIP) to bootstrap Oracle Label Security (OLS) information to the registered database.

However, unable to get any updates in OID provisioned / synchronized with the OLS database.  After a new OLS compartment was added, waited over 10 minutes but still does not see it in the database.

Checking under Enterprise Manager (EM) 11g Middleware Control, i.e.:

And clicking on Identity and Access > DIP Server > Log Messages window, the following error messages are shown (typically in red):

Error Exception on connecting to DB.
Error connecting as : URL : jdbc:oracle:thin@localhost:1521:mydbsid , User : mydbuser
Error error initializing ProvOIDToAppSync
Error Error i executing provisioning profile.
