OID 11g DIP Provisioning For OLS or EBS Integration Fails With Log Error: Exception on connecting to DB. DIP Log for EBS Shows: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection / Caused by: Connection refused (Doc ID 871124.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.


Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g with Directory Integration Platform (DIP) for Oracle Label Security (OLS) or EBusiness Suite (EBS).

Updates in OID provisioned / synchronized with the OLS or EBS database fail.

Checking under Enterprise Manager (EM) 11g Middleware Control, i.e.:


And clicking on Identity and Access > DIP Server > Log Messages window, the following error messages are shown (typically in red), e.g., for OLS integration:

Error Exception on connecting to DB.
Error connecting as : URL : jdbc:oracle:thin@<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>:<SID> , User : <USERNAME>
Error error initializing ProvOIDToAppSync
Error Error i executing provisioning profile.
