Symptoms
During the configuration of an 11g Portal instance as part of the 10g-11g upgrade process, the following error is seen at the point of installing the Portal, Forms and Reports service in the 11g home:
INST-07285: Error in validating Database details. Invalid Schema
The details of the error are:
INST-07285: Error in validating Database details. Invalid Schema
Cause: The schema name {0} and schema type {1} do not match
Action: Provide a valid schema name for {1}
Level: 1
Steps To Reproduce:-
10g ORACLE_HOME 1 - Oracle Infrastructure installation (10.1.2.3)
10g ORACLE_HOME 2 - Oracle Middleware 10g (AS 10.1.2.3 and portal 10.1.4.2)
- Install Oracle Weblogic Server.
- Install and configure Oracle Internet Directory Services 11g.
- Upgrade 10g Home 1 Oracle Internet Directory 10g->11g by running Upgrade Assistant (UA)
- Install Portal,Forms,Reports services 11g (11.1.1.1.0 middleware home).
This is where the error is seen.
