Symptoms

Deploying a grail-based web application in WebLogic results in NoClassDefFoundError, as below --

<User defined listener org.codehaus.groovy.grails.web.context.GrailsContextLoaderListener
failed: org.springframework.beans.factory.access.BootstrapException: Error executing bootstraps;
nested exception is org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.InvokerInvocationException:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org.codehaus.groovy.grails.plugins.springsecurity.GrailsAccessDeniedHandlerImpl.
