Symptoms

The snippet functionality that is used in UCM can provide the context of where a search term is found in the original document that was checked in. This snippet can then be returned in search results and displayed for context-interested search users.

However, the snippet functionality can take a toll on performance, as defined in an Oracle Text bug description. 

<Bug: 5523762> - CTX_DOC.SNIPPET CONSUMES 100% CPU AND HAS BAD PERFORMANCE.
