Tuxedo 10gR3 Not Logging COBOL DISPLAY To Tuxedo Stdout Log (Doc ID 880933.1)

Last updated on JUNE 18, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo - Version 10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading from Tuxedo 6.5 to Tuxedo 10gR3, you are having an issue with your application stdout not being captured into the Tuxedo stdout or stderr file. There are no errors of any kind logged in the ULOG files reporting a problem. The application seems to function, but very important stdout/stderr messages are lost.

You are using Microfocus COBOL server applications that perform the COBOL statement DISPLAY. The output from DISPLAY goes to stdout but is not captured by Tuxedo

Note that this same application works with Tuxedo 8.0 without any issues.

Changes

Only Tuxedo has changed to 10gR3.

Everything else remains the same.
