Securing a JAX-WS Web Service Within JDeveloper 11g R1 Using One way SSL (Doc ID 884650.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 09, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.1 to
Oracle JDeveloper - Version to [Release Oracle11g to 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The following how-to shows how to create a JAX-WS within JDeveloper 11g and secure it using a predefined security policy within WebLogic 11g R1. It will walk through the process step by step showing how this is done from JDeveloper and what is required on the WebLogic server side. In this demo we will use Web Services Security policy (One way SSL) defined in Wssp1.2-2007-Https.xml.

For those not familiar with either, Oracle's WLS documentation has a good explanation of the implementation of and differences between One-Way SSL and Two-Way SSL in the Understanding Security for Oracle WebLogic Server manual.
