Goal

This article aims to explain the process of configuring an External Authentication Provider for an Oracle Service Registry ( 10.1.3.x - 10.3 ).

There are 4 options to provide User Authentication to OSR viz. Database, LDAP, Oracle XML repository (JAZN) or External. The implementations for the first three are pre-configured with OSR. The fourth option - External - provides you the flexibility to use an external storage for your Authentication configuration accessed via a Java implementation.
