Non-English (UTF-8, UTF-16) Characters Rendered Incorrectly between WebLogic Server (WLS) 7 and WLS 9.x and higher (Doc ID 943935.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 05, 2016
Oracle Weblogic Server - Version: 7.0 to 10.3.2 Information in this document applies to any platform.
A web application deployed in WebLogic Server (WLS) 7.0 stores and reads non-English characters (UTF-8 and UTF-16) in a database. Another web application deployed in WLS 9.x and higher accesses the same database and needs to read and write non-English characters as well. However, these characters display incorrectly. They show as corrupt characters instead.
