Left Hand Navigation and Other Portlets Disappear in WCI When Application Is Hosted As Portlet (Doc ID 958890.1)

NOTE: In the examples below, the names represent a fictitious sample for clarity. Any similarity to actual environments, past or present, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

When the user begins to use a particular portlet, the custom left-hand navigation and the other portlets on the page disappear. The header and footer remain above and below the portlet, which now takes up the rest of the page itself.

If you are running into a problem where the portlet takes over the entire window and there is no header or footer, you may want to look into <Note 863315.1> Clicking a Link or Button in a Portlet Using the .NET Web Control Consumer Leaves the Portal Context or <Note 867353.1> Clicking a Link or Button in a Portlet Using Adaptive Layouts and the .NET Web Control Consumer Causes All Other Portlets to Disappear.
