E-WL: When Using SSL Demo Certificate, WebLogic Logs Show Message: "CertificateParsingException: PKIX: Unsupported OID in the AlgorithmIdentifier object: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11" (Doc ID 959592.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to a newer Java patch (eg JDK 1.5.0_18), one of the following two issues occur:


ISSUE #1
: The WebLogic server may fail to listen on the https port when a demo certificate is being used, and issue the following error to PIA_weblogic.log:

ISSUE #2:  Or you may just see "Notices" that some certificates are being ignored.  However, the WebLogic PIA is still able to bind successfully to the https port.  Example:
