Symptoms

The following exception is thrown during deployment of a WebLogic Portal (WLP) EAR application:

<1258380845082> <BEA-403300> <JNDI entry of timer/PortalTimer was not found in JNDI tree. Message is: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to look up timer/PortalTimer in java:comp/env.; remaining name 'timer/PortalTimer'.

Changes

Upgraded the existing application from WLP 8.1.x to WLP 9.2 or 10.3.X.
