Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Portal - Version 9.2.0 to 10.3.7 [Release Weblogic Platform to AS10gR3]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Would like information on how to use WebLogic Portal (WLP) to host existing file shares. The interface should be able to handle access restrictions to individual files/folders.
Login will be handled through the usual access mechanism, but users should be able to access certain folder locations. Certain users should have the ability to create & edit documents and then store them centrally where other users can access them in read-only mode.
Using WebDAV, what user interface does the content creator and reader use? Can they use portlets to do this, or is it through an administration console? The docs mention using Explorer/Office for creation but would also like to allow accessing the content via the Portal itself.
