Capture Import Server POP3 Emails do not Forward out of Inbox "ErrNum: 32 ErrDesc: A socket error has occurred. Context[POP3DELETEMSG]" (Doc ID 972711.1)

Symptoms

When an email takes more than 15 minutes to process with the POP3 protocol through Import Server, an error will appear in the Import Server log files and emails will not get forwarded out of the email account's inbox until Import Server is reopened.  The following errors may be encountered in this case:

Unable to download message number [9] from POP3 server [SERV-MAIL]. ErrNum: -32 ErrDesc: A socket error has occurred. Context[POP3GETMSG]

or

Unable to mark message number [1] for deletion on POP3 server [SERV-MAIL]. ErrNum: 32 ErrDesc: A socket error has occurred. Context[POP3DELETEMSG]
