UnsupportedRepositoryOperationException While Retrieving Content from UCM Repository (Doc ID 974764.1)

Symptoms

When accessing Universal Content Management(UCM) Repository through a WLP VCR Adapter, you will notice below error messages in server logs and content is not retrieved from UCM Repository:

com.bea.content.RepositoryException: com.bea.content.UnsupportedRepositoryOperationException: The repository UCMRepository does not support this operation because it does not implement the interface NodeOps, which is necessary for this operation.
