OSB FTP service always prefixes ./ to the filepath causing issues with specific FTP servers (Doc ID 979295.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 12, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Service Bus - Version 2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Service bus (OSB) always adds the prefix ./ in the filepath. OSB uses "stor ./filepath" to store a file on FTP server.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create and start OSB domain
2. Create FTP business service
3. Enable logging on FTP server
4. Send any sample file to FTP server and notice that OSB uses "stor ./filepath" as the command to put file on FTP server

Note: This is specific issue and is applicable with environments using ALSB FTP transport using Gentran FTP server and other unix based FTP servers but may not be limited to the servers listed here. Reviewing the FTP server logs for stor commands could reveal the actual issue.
