isExplicit field is not cleared, CMS, PAC
Symptoms
In WebLogic Portal Content Management System consider a scenario that you are mapping a property with a database column in the CM_NODE table using isExplicit functionality. The same property value is not cleared, even after clearing the value using the 'Clear Value(s)' selection in the Portal Admin Console (PAC).
Reproducible Steps to double check:
- Open Portal Admin Console and navigate to Content Management
- Select Content Type
- Add a new content type called bx_document with the following properties
- login_required (string, mandatory)
- expiry_date (date)
- custom_field1 (string)
- Add a new type called bx_catalogue that inherits from bx_document with the following properties
- webcast_date (date) IsExplicit with WEBCAST_DATE
- kb_id (integer)
- Go to CM_NODE and add WEBCAST_DATE field
- Create a content for type for bx_catalogue and fill in all values
- Check that the values are seen in the database
- Now edit the value in WEBCAST_DATE using PAC, on date pop up, hit CLEAR button and then SAVE
- If you see the summary page the old date value still presents, which should be cleared
