'Exception: System.IndexOutOfRangeException' Occurs When Synchronizing Users Via the 'Oracle WebCenter Interaction ID Service for Active Directory' (Doc ID 986866.1)

Symptoms

The AD AWS sync job fails to complete group memberships. An example error message in the job log is:

ERROR: Authentication source sync agent failed to synchronize user and group memberships to parent group '31598e90-7df4-449f-96fb-4579196a1062' (ID=1630).


The ADAWSLog.txt contains the following error message pairs:

INFO - AttachToGroup 74da37ee-b228-435e-b32c-9d5bbb0d8516 called at 12/2/2009_9_32_18_AM
ERROR - Unable to find group : 74da37ee-b228-435e-b32c-9d5bbb0d8516
ERROR - No members will be imported for this group
ERROR - Unable to read modifyTimeStamp value
Exception: System.NullReferenceException
Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Source: ActiveDirectoryAWSv2
at Plumtree.ActiveDirectory.AWS.RemoteSynchService.AttachToGroup(String groupID)


and:

INFO - Returning from AttachToGroup at 12/2/2009_9_32_18_AM
INFO - GetChildUsers called at 12/2/2009_9_32_18_AM
ERROR - Error in GetChildUsers
Exception: System.IndexOutOfRangeException
Message: Collection index must be in the range 1 to the size of the collection.
