During Commit of Transaction, Seeing java.rmi.ConnectException: This RJVM has already been shutdown

(Doc ID 989275.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 07, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 8.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

WebLogic Server is running out of execute threads, and the following is seen in the logs:

"Reason=java.rmi.ConnectException: This RJVM has already been shutdown"

However the referenced RJVM appears to be issuing the error - BEA-010026 - and consequently transactions are failing to commit and rolling back as the "RJVM has already been shutdown." The affected application server showed execute threads as being unavailable.
