Internal Error: 0x800XXXXX When Using or Installing IRM Desktop

When opening sealed content, or after installing IRM Desktop, users may see one of the error messages below, either in a status page or in a message box. The error might also be displayed on login when the Oracle IRM Desktop system tray application (IrmBackground.exe) launches.

Unable to process synchronization settings.
Internal Error: 0x80004003


The Trusted Clock is not functioning correctly.
Internal Error: 0x80040803


Oracle IRM Desktop terminated unexpectedly last time it was used. To continue to use Oracle IRM you will need to reboot your machine.
Internal Error: 0x8004050B


An internal error occurred. IRM offline database exception.
Internal Error: 0x80040505


An internal error occurred. IRM core exception.
Internal Error: 80040401

Internal Error: 0x8004050F (DB_DEADLOCK )
