Symptoms

After new users are created in the Profile section of the Business Control Center (BCC), the users are unable to login using the password that was defined. When the dps_user table is checked in the database, the password appears in clear text in the password column for the new users rather than as a hash. 

In the BCC form that is used to create a user account, there should be two text fields for entry of the password data. One field takes the password. The second field takes another copy of the password for confirmation. If only one text field is displayed for entering passwords, then this is a clear indication that the BCC configuration has the problem addressed in this document.
