Symptoms

OOB there is a function that can allow users to use existing facets to preselect filters to apply to their search.  In order for this function to work a blank or empty search is executed to bring back the filters.  Then the user can browse through the articles or they can enter a question to additionally qualify the search.

Changes

Using faceting can be faster than the browse function provided in Infocenter when there are large numbers of articles and collections that need to be integrated by user security.  And the more that the search targets a subset of the articles limited by specific tags or facets, the faster the search will be.
