Baseline update fails with "org.codehaus.xfire.fault.XFireFault: Couldn't send message" exception when copying index to MDEX host servers (Doc ID 1042483.1)

A baseline update fails at the point when the newly-generated index files are copied from the ITL server to a remote MDEX server.

The application's log file (e.g., logs/AppName.0.0.log under the application directory on the ITL server) contains a SEVERE exception message similar to this one:

[07.22.08 15:38:30] SEVERE: Utility 'copy_index_to_host_MDEXHost1' failed. 
Occurred while executing line 4 of valid BeanShell script: 

3| DgraphCluster.cleanDirs(); 
4| DgraphCluster.copyIndexToDgraphServers(); 
5| DgraphCluster.applyIndex(); 


The process.0.log file in the $ENDECA_CONF/logs directory on the remote MDEX server contains a SEVERE exception message similar to this one:

Jul 23, 2008 9:19:21 AM com.endeca.esf.delegate.task.FileCopyTask updateStatus 
SEVERE: TaskId(UTILITY,B2BWithEndeca,copy_index_to_host_MDEXHost1) has finished with status Failed - TaskId(UTILITY,B2BWithEndeca,copy_index_to_host_MDEXHost1) has failed. org.codehaus.xfire.fault.XFireFault: Couldn't send message.
